Climate change and environmental preservation is of course a topic that is heavily spoken about---but the consequences are pursued in a light manner. The entirety of the said consequences are based around temporariness and what can be done before time runs out.

Temporariness comes from the water supply in several countries, clean oceans, clean air, and so much more of what humans see as necessities. Taking for granted these simple and convenient resources and not trying to find genuine solutions to their shortages is certainly making it all the more alarming.

Taking Part in the Solution

The realistic issue this project addresses is the issue regarding climate change and environmental preservation. Seeing parts of our Earth in a disastrous form is not something you wish to see---the place you call home being in danger is not an ideal situation (especially when it is the place everyone lives). Doing small steps: picking up trash you see on the floor, not wasting your food or water, or investing in an electrical car, solar panels, or compost bins, mean the greatest deal in this particular situation. To culminate, the real challenge that we want to address is doing your part to keep the Earth better before you leave it.

Spot the Difference

In correlation to our project, this game shows the difference between the before and after of Earth pollution. All items portray a different want/need in our everyday life.

The Design Process

Electric Guitar
Earth and Space

Coming up with the idea of a song was due to the specific talent in the group and the notion that a song would spread awareness to the consequences of our doing. Developing the sound of the song was simple, using SoundTrap, writing lyrics that implemented our meaning, and adding guitar---the song was complete. Our song was inspired by Joni Mitchell's Big Yellow Taxi---essentially trying to use that sense of irony with the situation at hand. We articulated the words of the song to reach an ironic writing approach. With a song, we hope to provide a way to understand the difficulties in a manor that is memorable and easy to remember.

The true conclusion for this issue all depends on the impact this song created, as spreading a type of awareness towards the effects of this enduring issue. We hope this project encourages you to do your part to leave this Earth better than you leave it.
